Over the past 18 months, I lost 70 lbs/31kg (or 5 stone to us UK dwellers) and successfully kept it off, knowing I couldn’t go back to how I was. I spent years inflating and shrinking my waist line without addressing WHY I kept reaching for the pinot grigio and salt and vinegar mccoys anytime I was slightly inconvenienced or sad! (work stress, an unexpected bill, the button in my jeans popping off and putting a hole in the wall - true story - a 90 hour commute home and a burst tyre on the Motorway WHYYYYYY…..it goes on)
My reason for wanting to keep the weight off was pretty simple: I never wanted to call the Dr ever again and have to explain that the reason I needed some pain relief for my back spasms was doing a drunken roly poly at 105kg and hearing every bone in my back crack on the way over. I watched the video back and I looked like a giant jumbo prawn rolling for its LIFE!
On a more serious note - I lost weight so many times in my life and swore ‘this is the last time’ everytime. Not before long, I would slip back into the wine and Netflix binges with family size bags of Salt and Vinegar McCoys (they are honestly delicious, DO NOT TRY IF YOU LOVE YOUR NEW WAISTLINE). But that all stopped when I recognised WHY I was sabotaging myself and what I had to do to address the good old self psyche!
Anyway, what does this all mean for you and how can I help you? Not only have I been in your shoes so many times before - I have mastered what it took to sustain the success and manage those behaviours that were hindering me. It was only fair that I helped other people.
